1958 Healey 75 Speedboat
This was originally designed as a ski boat, a 4 seater mainly for in-shore waters. Only 10-12 are known to exist in the World. Its hull is made from fibreglass with teak decks. It is powered by a 1600cc MGA unit with a Borg Warner gearbox. Its price when new was approximately £650, expensive in 1958.
The restoration took about 5 months, starting with the hull which was re-fibre glassed. The floors were next, and high build primers were used and shaped. The colour scheme was applied using Healey colours. Teak decking was made and shaped, and 20 coats of varnish were applied with flatting in-between each coat. All fittings and trim were then remade and chromed. Now it is restored, it can be seen at many classic boat venues.
