MGB GT 1970

For most people the letters MG mean quite simply a sports car. Since MG first appeared the company have built Britain’s most successful and best loved sports cars. Here is such an example that was restored for a client.

Body Restoration

The body restoration commenced by removing all body paint to bare metal to reveal the areas that required re-panelling, ie, sill kits, wings and doors. When this was achieved, all body blemishes were then taken out.

Next we sprayed a high blend primer onto the body shell, flatted and checked contours between coats.

Top coat was applied first to the engine bay and internal areas, then sealed off before the final finishing coat of paint. The body shell was left to cure and then polished to a high gloss finish.
